Please note! Santa Experience is going ahead as normal today Sunday 10th December 2017. Please dress warmly!
Are you ready for something completely different! Discover a new magical woodland Christmas at Castlecomer Discovery Park!
This year we so excited to present a whole new Christmas experience. We are creating a magical Christmas wonderland in the heart of our woodlands.
Meet us at the train station, and get on board for the Santa Express! Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves are waiting in their woodland igloos for your visit. Arrive on time to collect your tickets and be waiting at the Santa Express Train Station. Hop on board The Santa Express and make your way to Santa’s magical Christmas Village in the heart of Castlecomer Discovery Park’s woodland. There is lots to see on the way!
Wrap up warm because the elves will want to spend some time with you. We hope you will join in the Elf Art Workshops before going to see Mrs. Claus in her charming igloo home. Then its off to get an audience with the man himself. The elves love to see new creations from children as they plan and make billions of Christmas toys and decorations for the festive season.
Grown-ups, you better dress warm too, because although we will treat you to warm refreshments, you are in a magical winter wonderland after all!
Have you ever been in an igloo? Well this is where you will be visiting Santa! Yes, in an igloo! He is waiting to meet all the boys and girls, but he can’t do that without making sure Mrs. Claus has had a chance to double double check that famous list. So it’s in to see Mrs. Claus first. She knows that Santa is eating so many biscuits, and she says he has to go on a diet, but she says she will wait till after Christmas for that. For now, she wants to tell all the little boys and girls about what life is like for the Clauses, and how it’s so much fun taking care of so many mischievous elves. They are always playing tricks on her!
When Mrs. Clause finishes her tales, it is off to see the man in red himself, Mr. Santa Claus. He can’t wait to have the groups of children visit him in his new winter wonderland home. He has lots of stories to tell, especially about his reindeer, especially Rudolf. It’s a good job he has a red nose because he is always getting lost!
Of course, every family will have a special moment with Santa to tell him the presents they wish for this year. Children can bring their letters too, which will be carefully placed in Santa’s ginormous bag of letters from all over the world. Before they leave Santa, he will give every child a gift on the day while they wait his return on Christmas Night.
After visiting Santa, you can spend as much time as you wish exploring the enchanted Christmas Village, children can go back to the elf art workshops, play in the junior low ropes area, or just run around the enchanted elf houses. For grown ups, you can have refreshments under our woodland canopy. Take your time before taking the Santa Express back to the station.
